When a girl named Rosy Cole gets assigned a project to write about the most interesting person in her family, she decides to write about herself (a memoir). Her older sister, Pippa tells her that she going to need a book on how to write a memoir. In an attempt to be as thorough as possible, Rosy follows the "eight points of a good memoir" outlined in the book. However, Rosy goes too far by trying to get Donald (her friend's older brother) to tell her his innermost feelings about her and ends up breaking their friendship. She also wrote a memoir for her friends using the pictures they had left behind from the workshop she held (which had gone terribly wrong).
