Book title: Superheroes are Everywhere
Author: Kamala Harris
Creative Response: Book Blog Entry (Technological)
The book "Superheroes Are Everywhere" tells the story of Vice President Kamala Harris and all the people in her life who made her feel loved, valued, and inspired. Kamala writes about people in her family for example, her mother, father, and grandparents who were all superheroes in her opinion. These people were not superheroes because they possessed super powers but rather because they possessed traits like kindness (Mrs. Shelton-family friend), bravery (her father), reliability (her sister), and the willingness to fight for what is right (her grandparents). Vice President Harris then invites her readers (children like me) to look at our own lives- our families and friends- and find the people who are heroes to us.
I really enjoyed the book and I agree that superheroes are everywhere. Some examples of superheroes in my life are my mom because she takes care of me and my siblings everyday, my dad because he's very hard working, my siblings because they are very fun even though we fight alot, my teacher because she comes to school everyday to teach me and my classmates and she is also very kind and fun, and my friends because they are very supportive, fun, and always there for me. I think everyone of all ages (even grown-ups) should read this inspiring book.
